I am very happy to have found this virtual community of professionals. I am looking forward to exchanging ideas with colleagues from around the country, and, perhaps, from even further afield.
I found this community when I did a search re: PBDS. I am very grateful to have read so many posts regarding this test and how it is often misused by potential employers. Having the opportunity to access so many diverse opinions and experiences at the click of a few buttons is astounding to me. I am not a very proficient computer-user, but I am excited at the possibility of such facilitated exchanges and sharing of information and experience.
I am both a nurse and a practitioner of CAM. I have been a Homeopath for nearly ten years and have studied Healing Touch to add to my ability to assist people in their healing. I am very interested in areas of consciousness and healing, different cultural modalities for healing, and, of course, CAM. At this time, I am very interested in developing my own practices of self-healing and consciousness through meditation, discussion, and movement.
I have many other interests outside of my nursing profession, too. I am involved in a community of performance art and music. I enjoy outdoor activities, such as cycling, volleyball, tennis, hiking, kayaking.
I am about to go on my first travel nurse contract. I am a little anxious about the newness and uncertainty of working at a new facility. Wish me luck.
All the best,
