Finally saying Hello to all

  1. I have been a member for 10 months and never posted, just browsing and learning. I feel strange since I have never done this before and hopefully this will "break the ice" for me. I have read many posts that I would like to respond to but felt awkward. I am an LPN in a locked dementia/behavior unit. Love my job, and have always loved working with the elderly. I am in my 50's and have been in nursing for 20 years.

    Allyse,

I'm glad you decided to post. With twenty years of nursing experience, I'm sure that you can contribute a lot to our discussions and in locked psych I am sure that the stories are amazing. Don't be shy!

I want to thank the 3 of you for welcoming me to the site and for your encouragement. I look foward to hopefully being able to contribute to this wonderful site. It is nice to have a place to be able to ask questions and get so many answers. My only problem with the site is that once I log on I seem to get lost in time and then discover it is 4-5 hours later. Once again, thank you for taking the time to say hi.
