This post is well overdo, seeing as I have been commenting a tons on other topics for the past couple of weeks, and have been a pretty active reader for this blog over a year before joining.
I am nurse Griffin hailing from the Mecca of New York City(Brooklyn born). A little about me professionally:
I begin my career as an LPN with a Masters in Health Information Management. After working in the executive branch of a major cardiovascular health center for a number of years, I decided to bridge my nursing license to BSN. With the hopes of possibly landing a job as a case worker in Public Health dealing with HIV positive patients. Needless to say, after months of job search I landed a position working as a staff nurse in the same hospital I had served for years as a director and physician documentation trainer. At the present, I am planning my life around a move to California to attend my FNP training at Stanford University, and hopefully I'll begin studying for my CRNA shortly there after.
Extracurricular activities including: Volunteering, Brunches with endless mimosas, medical billing & coding education, Shopping, Make-up, and loads of traveling.
It's nice to meet all of you. I am hopeful I will learn tons from the veterans & even newer nurse recruits! -Chet
