Hello Everyone! My Name Is Katrina And I Just Joined About 5 Min. Ago. I Really Don't Know Where Or How I'm Suppossed To Ask A Question So I'll Just Put It Out Here And See If Anyone Can Help Me. I'm A 23 Year Old Stay At Home Mom I Have A 1 Year Old Daughter But I Really Want To Get Into Nursing. I Really Want To Work As A Labor/delivery Nurse And I Was Wondering If Anybody Knows How Much Schooling I Would Need. I Read A Thread Right Before I Joined That Said You Can Get Your Rn In 2 Years At A Tech School Does Anyone Know About That? If Anyone Could Help Me Or Tell Me Where To Go To Ask My Question It Would Be Great

    Thanks

Hi Katrina! Check out this thread at allnurses (BELOW). I don't know details about starting nursing school nowadays but if you go to this thread, you will see someone will have answered your question, or if not, hit "new thread" and pose your question. I should think too you could call your area schools for information - but if you find someone who has done it in the past they may have better advice for you. Good luck!

    Hi all,

I am a pre-nursing student and have learned a lot so far on this site. How do you all get your signatures created and so on?

    Hi Nurse2bsoon,

Go up to where it says "user cp" and click on it. Then on the right you will see a list of tools (words are underlined). Some of them you won't be able to use until you are a premium member. Hope this helps!

hello everyone. i wanted to introduce myself. i am living in west texas and currently in another program, (medical lab). i was going to go into nursing originally but had a counselor in my college tell me that i was too old at 37 to try, and that my health might prevent me from doing so. i was stupid enough to believe her so i took the easier program. my mistake. well to make a long story short, i ended up beating my health problems and all the while, had wonderful care from nurses. it was these nurses that encouraged me to follow my dreams and well here i am. i am not going to that community college but rather university of texas where the build you up....:angel2: , anyway that is my story. i look forward to laughing, crying, running away from ob rounds, j/k, with all of you...i thank you in advance for all the help you will offer and hope that at some point i can return the favor....btw....i cannot type, so please excuse the typos....at least those that spell check doesn't catch...

I graduated RN school at 42 and have been an RN for 5 years now. Changing careers was a wonderful decision for me.
