Thanks for the welcome! Yeah, they aren't too bad, just have to take it one test at a time...lol. If I start thinking too far in advance in either class I get spooked :uhoh21: I've had to take all my hard classes at once b/c I just recently changed my major to nursing after being only one class away from my assoc. of arts degree...so all my easier classes are behind me. lol.

anyway, can't wait to talk to you all more!

    gotta go study...

Ouch. Well you are doing great to plow through!

I popped in a few months ago asking for advice on whether I could handle nursing after dealing with carpal tunnel (too much medical transcription). Well, Worker's Comp saw the light and I'm now in school, getting ready to start my third quarter, and hoping to get into the nursing program soon! I desparately want to work in hospice. It's nice to know y'all are here!
I'm in Ohio. I've been married almost 18 years. We have two girls, 15 & 14, and a boy, 12. I also have a step-daughter who is 20. In my spare time, when I have any, I absolutely love to bake...especially cinnamon rolls and creme horns. My husband and I are active in the music ministry for church. Three cats and a dog. That's about it. My life is my family, my church, and school.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you, and and happy to know there is support here when needed!

Wow, good luck! Yep that's the best tactic, worry about your own grades.

    Hey, welcome to the site!

I really feel bad when I see all the threads from new people introducing themselves. There's just NO WAY that I could stop and post to each and every one of you!

So I just wanted to say hey, how are you, and I hope you have a good experience!

I'm 46, an RN trained in a diploma school in Maine (1981). I've done all kinds of nursing, my favorite being geriatrics, with Chemical Dependency a close second.

I currently live in Maine, have a 17 year old son (who is just beginning driver ed, ugh!). I'm a Born Again Christian (3 years) but have to say that I am not one of those thumpers, LOL! How that happened is a long strange trip, I started out Catholic, tried all kinds of religion, no religion, etc. Then I ended up in AA (1985). I learned so much about tolerance, and the fact that God works miracles in EVERYONE's life, not just the "special" (wink) people.

So along with being sober I've also had to deal with my mental health issues, depression/bipolar, anxiety, oh fun fun...

SO - feel free to say hi, in this thread or through a private note! Happy you are here, lots of wonderful people! God bless! :hatparty:

Feel free to post on this thread, and if I see you "around" I will say hello!
    Thank you for the welcome
I am still trying to navigate around this site :uhoh21:
I have been trying to see how to post something, and just cannot seem to get it right !!!
I have read quite a lot of the threads and find the site very interesting and informative. It appears to be a great way to communicate with people who have the same interests as oneself. Also a wonderful place to go and ask questions one sometimes may feel afraid to ask in the work-place.
Also seems to be a great palce to get some feed-back on topics of interest and/or concern.
I will continue to look and see how it all works !!
    God bless you too !!!

I just want to say hello to every member, I'm newly registered and surely I'll contribute and learn at the same time. These greetings are from a student in the University of Swaziland. I'm a proud aspiring nurse. Allnurses.com is "how I surf the web".

WELCOME WELCOME! I hope you enjoy it! How long is that program?
Thanks Zoeboboey. The program is 18 months and from what I understand it is very intense. It's from Mon-Thu evening every week for 6pm-10pm and every other Saturday from 8am-3:15 pm. It takes me about 45 mins to get there each way, but I know it will all be worth it when I'm done.
