i have been an lpn for 25yrs. i live near atlanta and have worked many areas as an lpn....hospital, nursing homes, homehealth, nursing agency gave me a great deal of diversity, md office, private duty and more hospitals and nursing homes. most hospitals want RN"s but LPN'S still work on med-surg and some other areas.

i am now semi retired for 2 yrs but will not stay out of nursing for very long, "if you don't use it, you loose it." i have enjoyed the patients, they make nursing important to me.

Hello all and I like to thank you all for your welcoming arms into this profession! where I live it seems to be a backbiting business and it is wonderful to see this "sisterhood" although I know that it has been becoming a field for men! I started off looking for the website to find out about already registered nurses and Lpn's and if they are in good standing or not........if anyone could tell me this site for NY state it would be greatly appreciated .I had it but never used it and now I lost it

    Hi and welcome!

Try this site (below) for international nurses and hopefully they can answer your question! If not, come back here again and I will try something else. Ok?

no I don't think it's it I tried it and I just see threads , the web site I had you typed in the person's name and it would tell you their history ...if they had charges on them or job abandonment and such. maybe I am doing something wrong... but thanks for trying ~

Hi everyone! I am new to the allnurses realm (sort of stumbled into it researching massage schools). Seems like a great site, & can't wait to get more familiar with it. Anyway, I've been a nurse for 3 years, spent mostly in pediatrics, and am currently working on my MSN to be a nurse practitioner. When I'm not running around the ICU or ER, I enjoy hanging out with my funeral director husband (oh, the things we discuss over dinner), doing volunteer search and rescue work with the Civil Air Patrol, and getting a crash course in step-parenting (hey, what can I say, the love of my life came attached with 3 kids ). Yeah, it's all quite an adventure. Fortunately, I've got a cat and 4 lizard to keep me sane!
