yes my husband is supportive, he is in the air force. he moved a month after i graduated nursing school out here. so yeah a lot did come at once. i just have had bad luck with the nclex, school went by so fast and went so well, i had a baby, moved out here, and then i just didnt pass. i just really hope to get out there, i havent been working since school and am scared i wont find a job since i havent had experience, but i had a baby and couldnt. i am willing to train for how ever long it takes to get me in the mode.!! anyways how long have you been a nurse and did you pass the nclex the first time? stace

Stace I think you wrote this to the other nurse, anyway, I just wanted to say that somehow you need to have some time before the next exam - to breathe deep, to be with good girlfriends and get all the keerap out of your system (you know how we need good catharsis!), time to soak in the sun, to be separate - even a good day or two will help. As it is you have parts of your mind everywhere BUT, do you know what I mean?

Even a good cry does wonders, and not just for us girls

Thanks for the welcome notes. I'm an old nurse, but new to this computer communication. I have 8 kids, almost all are grown. 2 grandkids. I have been an LPN for 28 years.

Wow, well if there was a sweepstakes I think you would win it, for the years and for all the kids! whoo!

Hope you do something nice for yourself now and then (speaking as the daughter of a mom who had 8 kids - and she is FINALLY doing good for herSELF! YEAH!)

    Hi Gwen -

I learned by trial and error, no one really showed me ANYthing! It's fun when you finally grasp something.

Hope you enjoy, and come back if you have questions! xo

Hello, all. I'm in an unusual situation. For the last 25 years I've been managing health care businesses, primarily rehab and Home Health. Tired of the constant pressure and travel and I now want to return to nursing part time but am concerned that there are no refresher courses in southern illinois where I live. Will anyone want to hire me after all these years? RN in Illinois
