    Hi!

I am new to the board... and on the downhill run of first year nursing school. I am in a two year ASN-RN program. My little group of 5 is one of the Distance sites in this program, there are 2 more distance sites also. The distance program is new this year, having been disbanded many years ago. We do a our "theory" classes by ITV, which is a whole new challenge in itself.

Pathopyhsiology seems to be the killer class right now. the class went from approx. 40 students to currently 13. They allow non nursing students to take the class, and most of them have dropped it, along with several nursing students. It is offered again in the summer, so they will be taking it at that time.

Anyhoo.. I was studying patho and all the sudden got a nose bleed.. I think my brain has melted!! Have not had a nose bleed in years..LOL Time for a break, so thought I would check out the board...

Finals for Intro to Pharm, Fundementals of Nursing II, and Math for Meds are done.. just have Pathophys. and A and P II left tomorrow.

ok... better get back to it...

on a differnt note i do plan on getting my BSN and maybe work for my Master to become a PA

my wife would kill me if she new i posted on here... but maybe she'll join now...

agian thanks for the confidence and support you have given my wife just by telling your stories and i hope you'll have to more regular posters...

    jay

Being an emergency room nurse, I personally love EMT's! Thanks for posting and talking.
Your wife will do great. It's kinda like riding a bike, you never really forget, just need to practice and get even better.
PA school is exciting for you, best of luck. I think I'm currently suffering burn out. I love my pateints, (most of the time) but lately I'm edging towards a more non clinical aspect of nursing, we'll see.
Are you an EMT I or EMT P? Just curious. Was a firefighter/slash medic for seven years, while practicing as well. I truly think the world of EMT's, you all see it first and we rely so heavily on your assesments in the field.
    Joy to all,
    Lis.

Yes it's labor and delivery but they also do the recovery and postpartum there so it's an all in one thing
