Hi Mandy, good luck! I hope you get in!

If you do get in late well hubby will have to do what you're doing now - WAIT! LOL!
Thank you very much! And you are right. He will have to wait for me, which he has already said he will do, no matter how long it takes. It's just that I don't want to stay here any longer than I have to.

The idea behind all this seems to be allowing a person to make retirement in 20 yrs. Although, I do believe that in some branches, you can agree to a contractual acknowledgement which states that you are cognizant of the fact that your age, at the time of enlisting, will prevent you from retiring with 20 yrs. and the necessary points to be eligible for retirement benefits.
Thanks for checking that out, that's great!

Hello y'all. Yeah I have the southern thing going on. Been in Virginia for over 20 years with only a few months worth of exceptions. Been out of school for 16 years now (LPN), out of the "game" for 12. Diving right back in head first with a crash course type refresher and then it's sink or swim time. A lot has changed, but then again, a lot hasn't. Good care is still good care and always will be. Once I've knocked the cobwebs off of the old skills, it's back to school for my RN and possibly teaching in the future. Anyway, enough rambling for now. Looking forward to getting aquainted.

Hi everyone! My name is Tammi, I am currently in my last semester of LPN. I will graduate in May. I just recieved notice that I was accepted in the ADN program in the fall. I have 3 girls ages 14,12, and 10. Luckily my husband is very supportive of me going to school. He is an over the road truck driver, so many times it is like being a single mother. Whew really cant wait to graduate! It can be very overwhelming at times. Well hope to get to know some of you!!

How long will you have to go to the ADN program? Fewer hours due to the LPN or no?

    Good luck to you!
