My name is Sherry, and I am 34 years old. I live in Dayton, OH with my husband, daughter-12, and twin stepsons-14 (15 may 3-UGH!!!). I am in my Women's Health/Labor&Delivery 5 1/2 wk rotation at a local community college!!!! I have 2 quarters left after summer, and boy am I ready to be done!!!!! I think I can safetly say that it is both the best and worst thing I have ever done...I sure all of you can relate, since you have all been there or are there!!!!!!

I was looking for some info on a teaching plan for breast health/Mammograms/BSE.....any pointers, I have to do a two page teaching plan for my community family project (we have 2 due each quarter depending on what rotation we are in...and I am beginning to get sick of them!!! OH WELL...just one more hoop of the many that nurse's have to jump through right!!!!

Well, I will stop babbling and see what else I can find out there!!! If anyone has any pointers I would appreciate it!!!!!

    Take care & God Bless!!!!

Hey you, I just visited Jasper and Powder Springs this past Thanksgiving, cool!

Hope you enjoy the board! and do well in school!

Sometimes people will bring a topic to the board that might be stumping them, and ask questions. We don't mind

    Take care!

Oh and check out the Georgia nurses forum too!

    Hey, welcome to the site!

I really feel bad when I see all the threads from new people introducing themselves. There's just NO WAY that I could stop and post to each and every one of you!

So I just wanted to say hey, how are you, and I hope you have a good experience!

I'm 46, an RN trained in a diploma school in Maine (1981). I've done all kinds of nursing, my favorite being geriatrics, with Chemical Dependency a close second.

I currently live in Maine, have a 17 year old son (who is just beginning driver ed, ugh!). I'm a Born Again Christian (3 years) but have to say that I am not one of those thumpers, LOL! How that happened is a long strange trip, I started out Catholic, tried all kinds of religion, no religion, etc. Then I ended up in AA (1985). I learned so much about tolerance, and the fact that God works miracles in EVERYONE's life, not just the "special" (wink) people.

So along with being sober I've also had to deal with my mental health issues, depression/bipolar, anxiety, oh fun fun...

SO - feel free to say hi, in this thread or through a private note! Happy you are here, lots of wonderful people! God bless! :hatparty:

Feel free to post on this thread, and if I see you "around" I will say hello!
