    Hey, welcome to the site!

I really feel bad when I see all the threads from new people introducing themselves. There's just NO WAY that I could stop and post to each and every one of you!

So I just wanted to say hey, how are you, and I hope you have a good experience!

I'm 46, an RN trained in a diploma school in Maine (1981). I've done all kinds of nursing, my favorite being geriatrics, with Chemical Dependency a close second.

I currently live in Maine, have a 17 year old son (who is just beginning driver ed, ugh!). I'm a Born Again Christian (3 years) but have to say that I am not one of those thumpers, LOL! How that happened is a long strange trip, I started out Catholic, tried all kinds of religion, no religion, etc. Then I ended up in AA (1985). I learned so much about tolerance, and the fact that God works miracles in EVERYONE's life, not just the "special" (wink) people.

So along with being sober I've also had to deal with my mental health issues, depression/bipolar, anxiety, oh fun fun...

SO - feel free to say hi, in this thread or through a private note! Happy you are here, lots of wonderful people! God bless! :hatparty:

Feel free to post on this thread, and if I see you "around" I will say hello!
Hi Im a new new (sort of) graduated with an AA in Nursing worked for a few years in Labor & Delivery and then had to Was wondering if I should take a refresher course or would I still be hirable without one. Any advice?

    Hi,
I've been lurking for a few days reading different post and thought I would introduce myself. I'm Beth Radigan from NC and I'm currently working on my pre-reqs so I can begin the BSN RN program. I'm married with 2 children, Matt(16) and Meghan (4) and I'm a rep with ForYour Pleasure, Inc. which I love because I get to meet new friends & help couples spice up their love life! :hatparty: There is some great information here and I thank all of you who have posted the information and links. May we all reach our goals and continue to share our words of wisdom. Good luck to everyone!

Yeah, Lisa, there are a ZILLION members (I don't know the # LOL) and I have not had ONE bad experience.

When I was on a thread for Christian nurses, THAT was a little hairy - but even then we could all talk thru it civilly and work it out.

Having MODERATORS helps a great deal! I've been on unmoderated boards and there is a WORLD of difference!

    Well take care Lisa -

I have felt very welcomed from the time I registered. I do not feel that I am the only one that has the same questions with answers.

I had to read and reread my post (that excerpt) to figure out what I meant! and I guess I meant that I wished nurses would show up to apply for WORK as plentifully as they show up HERE!

Anyway ... kinda lost in the translation, ha ha!

Hope things are going well for you, and take good care!
