Jan 5, '06Quote from Zorya77My goodness, isn't staffing a major headache for us all. Please, put your pistol away.[FONT=System]Greetings
[FONT=System]I am an RN/LNC currently working in a PCU and the ICU in Maryland. I look forward to meeting other nurses for friendship, support, and exchanging information and ideas. If I hear one more nurse manager say, "We need to look at creative scheduling" because our HPPD's are useless when staffing an acute care unit, I am going to commit homicide!!!
[FONT=System]Other than that I am a very docile person.

Jan 5, '06Quote from myrtle1956i think this question refers back to scott.hi,
i enjoyed your posting but i have a question. i have never heard the term reformed christian. what does that mean?
let me take a stab at it...a christian no longer on parole...ok, ok, bad attempt. i think scott can answer it if he returns back to this thread.
however, this post is a good educational piece for our newbies.
this type of question is considered a non-nursing related post. not too many places on this board for a non-nursing post to be placed. one is here in this forum as part of introductions. the other place is in one of our premium forums called the break room. if you are interested about finding out more about what premium membership is or wish to become a premium member, here is the link--> premium membership?
thanks for the question!
hope scott comes back to answer it or you could send him a private message (pm)...check out the top right of your screen and click the link which reads "private messages". you will send it using his user name.Last edit by Thunderwolf on Jan 5, '06
Jan 5, '06Since this thread is quite large now and we have begun a new year, tomorrow night, I will be closing it down.
However, I have just created "Are you new here Part II" which will continue this fine tradition begun by our member, Zoeboboey.
I'm leaving this thread (that you are currently viewing) open for just one more day, then I am closing it down....to resume in Part II.
Thanks to all who have posted.
Jan 5, '06Hello Everyone,
I just joined this site today. I found it while searching for NCLEX exam tips because I will be graduating this May 2006 and taking the NCLEX.
I must say that I am awesomely impressed with what I have read so far on this site and I do feel the warmth already.
I am an accelerated (BSN) nursing student (career change from being a Financial Analyst for close to 20 years). I strongly felt my calling as a nurse and decided to make the move.
Again I love allnurses.com and definitely have found an excellent site that care for the nurses.
Hope to meet some of you online soon.
