My first time on this website, but I am already encouraged by what I have read so far.
I am a born again Christian for 6 years. The Lord Almighty open the door for me to go back to school and become a nurse. Yes at times I am discouraged, frustrated, but there are times that I am rejoicing for what I am doing.
I am a concrete/visiual learner and this has cause some problems with taking exams, so I need all the suggestions and help I can get.

Hello, Thank you all for the warm welcome. I've been doing massage for a total of 17 years and nursing for 7 years I am currently an LPN and will finish my RN inmay 2006. My plan is to bring massage back into the hospital and back to the pt care regimen. most nurses are not taught how to give a medical massage thats why it's hardly ever used anymore. I hope to turn my project into a consulting and teaching business for hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and any other place of business that needs stress manangement. I am excited to have found this web site, what a wonderful way we have to give kindness through massage. thank you for reading my note.

Hi there, nice to "meet" you - There was at one time a thread for Christian nurses, it was quite active, now it sits in the back room waiting for someone to wake it up! I keep saying I am going to one of these days!

HI PJ! I think I am a lot that way too, in learning. What saved me was the fact that I could write papers well - and having had some experience as a nurses aide was good background for my studies - I had that "picture" in my mind during lectures, etc. Good luck to you!

I remember in nursing school having the basic "backrub" education and that was it. Good luck with your goals, I wish you success!

really??!! I was thinking of doing it too... once I graduate. It's hard to find good traveling benefits as an LPN (IMO), so I will wait. I am wanting to take my daughter... she's open to it and not at all reluctant... it's me that I'm worried about!! I am worried about that... being homesick pretty quick. Maybe we will just stick with the 13 week summer travel for now
