Good morning all!! I am very excited to have access to this new site. I have been thinking about going into nursing after graduating from college next year. This site has given me some good information already and i have only been on here one day! :hatparty: I am up for any input that anyone would like to give me in regards to nursing. My mom and 2 of my very close family friends are all nurses and unfortunately my mom and against me being a nurse and has been trying to talk me out of it. That has not been very helpful to me, but yet i still want to pursue nursing and give it a try for myself. Well i hope everyone has a blessed day and God Bless You All.
    Thanks,
    mel
You will ALWAYS regret not following your dreams! I decided to go for nursing instead of something in the writing field and I was never satisfied til I took my writing seriously and went back to school!

You COULD try working as a nurses aid to see if it is something that "fits", and if you like that environment. I'm sure Mom means well - and is saying that out of love for you - but you DO have to go your own way!

Try this thread (below) for nursing career discussions, and good luck to you!

Hello, My name is Misty and I am from GA. I am married and have two sons, one who is in the Marine Corps. and the other is in middle school. Whew!, two boys.....two hands full! I have been out of school for 21 years and have decided to return to nursing school. I've worked in health care in various aspects for the last 17 years. Nursing is what I've always wanted to do. I am currently taking my last core classes and hopefully will be accepted into the program and begin clinicals in the Spring.

I've sort of done things a little backwards as I have not taken the PSB exam yet. I am scheduled to take it in January. Anyone out there have any tips for me? Any and all information is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Ya'll!
I just joined yesterday, so I'll count myself in as one of the many you'd like to greet. As a finishing-up student, I naturally eat, sleep, breathe nursing, and I imagine it might be like that for a long time, so why not hang out on a nursing bulletin board? Especially with such warm and welcoming people? Sounds good to me.
