    Hello everyone,

My name is Ashley. I am new to the site. I just joined tonight. I am enrolling in school and starting my classes in January. I am VERY excited.

I am older. I will be 33 in January. I have been a stay at home mom for the last 10+ years. My husband (or more precisely, my future ex-husband) was abusive to me and our children. He had an affair with at least one woman. I finally had enough when he started physically abusing our 2 children.

I suddenly found myself in need of a way to support myself and the children, so I decided to go to school.

I am looking forward to starting my new, better life.
Hey, welcome! You are a strong survivor, kudos to you! Good luck with school!

    Hi!
I am new. Hello to everyone! Im going to school to get my RN degree and it seems like it's taking forever! Ive gotten through most of my pre-reqs. I took a break to take a Medical Coding course so that I can get a job in a hospital or Dr Office. Ive applied with just my Customer Service experiance and I dont seem to be getting any responce. I wanted to ask any Nurses out there if you thought it was better to work in a Dr Office or Hospital while Im going to school for my RN degree and what are the premiums for Healthcare like? especially if you live in Columbus, Ohio?
    Thanks!

At the moment I am working at a home for people with Dementia (In dutch: Psychogeriatrische verpleeghuis).
I am 25 years old, am living together with my girlfriend (who's also a nurse) and have 2 rabbits.

Well, that's it for now, I am goin to see what's all to find at this place.

    hello
i am a newly graduated and now registered nurse from ny. i am so excited to start my journey. i went through school trying to study, do care plans, and help my 2 kids(now 6 and 12) with their homework and projects. however, i didn't change my life too much for school. i taught dance...still do...and am preparing to get married. it was an extremely challenging journey that i am proud to say i made successfully.
i just want to send a personal thanks to my kids, my parents, and my fiance who were very patient and sacrificed just as much as i did to help me achieve my dream. :1luvu:

    Hey y'all,
I'm actually looking for a little advice, information, etc. I'm only a junior in high school but I have wanted to be a nurse (specializing in labor and delivery hopefully) since I was playing dress up (not a joke). My dad and I had talked about going into the air force to get some medical training first but I'm just not thinking that the military is right for me.
Anyway, If anyone could point me in the right direction of information, or even better, lay out what I will need to do and what I will go through starting out as a nursing student. Any help will be appreciated!
    Thank you in advance
