  1. Hi Gang ! I've been an LPN since 1989. That's a long time ago. I haven't worked now for 3 years and want to come back, but Iam finding it difficult in my area. My husband and I were activated and went to different places for 1 1/2 years. It was depressing and I ended up not going to Afghanistan due to medical reasons, but my husband was gone. I went through a depression and just haven't found the confidence in myself to find a job. Sometimes Mom's stay home to take care of kids or an elderly person in my case and get back into the swing of things without any problems. The technology has changed quite a bit. Part of me is afraid that people will expect way to much and I won't be able to deliver and meet their expectations. Write back with some helpful hints and boosting my confidence.

Good luck. Not a whole lot has changed in the 3 years. Just ask for a good orientation, you'll do fine.

    thanks for the fearlessness!
What did you think of what I wrote about being an MD versus a nurse?

Hi and welcome...sorry I don't understand what you are saying? You are an MD that's not been practicing for 3 years? Or an LPN?

At any rate, for both professions, there are ways to get back to active practice.
