A Dream come true at the age of 49

  1. [font=system]hi to everyone,
[font=system]my dream has come true . ever since i was in high school i 've wanted to be a nurse.i graduated in 1974. i just graduated in june of this year and took the nyclex exam for the second time and passed. i answered all 205 questions both times. i was in shock when i found out that i had passed. working full-time and going through this 11th month program was very diffucult. 11 months is not long enough, i think it should be longer. your basically learning on your own. i worked during the day and went to school at night. i have not started practicing as of yet. i'd like to stay with the state ,i've been with the state for 20 years so that narrows down places of employment. i feel like shouting. hey everyone i made it !!!!!!

    Welcome to these forums!

Congratulations on passing NCLEX! That's really a major accomplishment. My NCLEX-PN is scheduled on 12-28-05 and I hope I pass on the first time. Good luck to you and have a prosperous career as a nurse.
