New student-from an mba to nursing

Hello everyone! I can't express how helpful I have found this site to be. I graduated last year with a Master degree in Business Administration only to find out while working in a medical center business office that I want to be a nurse. I made the difficult decision to go back to school to get a nursing degree. Sometimes I feel like the six years of education I previously worked towards is all a waste now.

It wasn't until I began searching for nursing schools that I realized how incredibly difficult it is to be accepted. I have spent the last year taking pre-reqs. After being declined acceptance to an ADN program, I was accepted to an LPN program, which I start August 24. But I have applied to Troy State in Alabama in hopes of getting into an ADN program.

I am absolutely thrilled to begin the challenging journey of learning nursing and look forward to someday working with some of you amazing people!

Hey, you're on my plan, except mine was BA (English), MS (Computer Science), then LPN, now in the RN bridge program.

Good luck, and welcome to the most challenging, insane, meaningful, underpaid, under appreciated and overworked career in the universe...
