Hi Everyone!! Need some help picking out a possible school!

Hi Everyone,

My name is Kate, and it is soo nice to find a website dedicated to nurses! Quick question as I am trying to figure out which school to attend.

The ones I am deciding on are Baker College, Davenport University, and Madonna University all of these in Michigan.

Has anyone ever attended one of these? Or heard anything regarding their Nursing Programs?
As well I am trying to decide between an RN or a BSN? What do you all think, is there a difference in pay?

Regarding these schools, could you let me know either good or bad what you all may have heard, or
experienced? As well how are their admissions?

Thank you very much for your time, and I look forward to hearing your response.

Take Care, Kay

Pay difference for RN and BSN is about $1/hr. However in the long run it provides you with knowledge to be a charge nurse, or get you MSN.

Welcome! I am in the middle of my RN but wish that I had gone the BSN route now. My thinking was that I would get my associates degree and take the NCLEX then get working at a place where they would help fund my BSN.

We shall see if THAT all works out for me.

It doesn't seem that any of my local hospitals advertise for anything other than BSNs.

This link has a lot of discussion on the merits of the different qualifications.

Good luck!
