Hello to all,
Just wanted to introduce myself and ask for some pointers. I'm not new to nursing, graduated over 20 years ago from vocational nursing and received my LVN license shortly after. I have since worked in Long Term care. I have decided it is time for a change. I took time off after my mother's death 5 years ago after having took care of her for about 10 years and also worked. Couldn't decide if I wanted to go back and before I knew it time had passed. I have found myself having to go back to work now and want to stay away from the field I was in, I did do a short stint recently in long term and that didn't work out for me. I've decided that it's time to go back to school and submitted my application today to a local college to start toward my associates this January. Meanwhile I will need to work and I applied with a I guess you would call it a Temp agency. Well they called me today for a job tomorrow and my nerves are going nuts. It's for a doctors office which I have never done. I know it should be a breeze, but having only been on the end of being a patient and not the other way round I'm a nervous wreck. I don't want to mess this up. Anyone work in an office and could give me an idea of what to expect as far as like paper work involved and anything else pertinent would be so helpful in maybe calming my nerves. Looking forward to learning more and thankful for this site. Have found information thats helped me go forward.
