Hi everyone,
Im Monique a single mom of 3 I'm 35 and have just decided to go back to school I'm very excited and grateful for this site it helps to anwser so many of my questions I'm from Maryland I have already finished many of my prereqs I need only my biologies and an psyc class before I can apply to a nursing program. Maybe someone can help me with this concern... it appears that it will take about the same time to get an adn as it would to bsn at this point because to get in the program at the community colleges you need to have nearly all of your prereqs completed so after that it still 2 years in the program either way. I know its more money to go for the bachelors at the university that scares me not to mention it probably even more competitive to get in. But a masters is my ultimate goal and I want to get there asap I'm not getting any younger I have 3 kids one starting college with me in the fall one starting high school and a second grader, who knows what obstacles I may have to face in the future I don't want to waste anytime. Is it difficult going back for the bachelors once you're a rn or should I try to get it now even if it means taking out big loans? --------
Thanks for any suggestions or thoughts
