Would u recommend the IELTS workshop?

Happy Easter everybody!!!

Im planning to take IELTS in May. I noticed that both testing centers here in the Phils offer 1-day workshop in prep for the test. I'd like to know from those who have taken the workshop if it was really helpful? Were the exercices the same as the actual questions? Would you recomend it to me? thansk.

huh?!!! then i don't need to go. it's barely 3 weeks before the test...hehehe

It's your call. Only you can tell if your English skills are good enough.

What I meant by that 3 mos. is that their study indicated that to get an overall band score improvement of 1 is that an applicant must have studied a formal review/pragram for 3 mos. If you passed w/o any formal program or studied for less than 3 mos then you most prob. had good English skills from the start (as most Filipinos do)

I guess in my case i think i got lucky, my reading and writing improved by 1 and 2 pts. My friend did the same thing, having the workshop a week before the exam and her score improved as well.

You most prob. already have very good English skills (as most Filipinos do) from the start and only needed some polishing-up.

hi..i joined a british council workshop on march23 before I took my ielts on april 8..the workshop was okay but it was less than i expected..:)...but they really give out important tips that will come in handy when u will take the exam....but dont rely solely on it..one should also do self study and practice writing and listening to the the practice tapes..i dint go to a review center because I just cant afford the review fee..$110 for just 7sessions?.no way!..and by the way I just got my IELTS review today.. I passed!..
