Thanks for replying. I really appriciate it. AT this point I don't know what to do . California sent me that letter nees social security. they have my all documents like my file my decuments from my home country. now again if any states will help me again i have to go through whole process means from zero........oh no.......oh my god what happend. they did not inform me. I am in states on H4. As my husband got social security no as he is on work visa and I do have 10 years visitor visa as well as dependent on husband visa H4. PLZ PLZ GUIDE ME what should i do...........i am helpless. I was studying hard for nclex i bought books and so and suddenly this came up...........plz plz help meeeeeeeeeeeee.

Doesn't your country have counselors that specifically help with this stuff? I've seen lots of ads for immigration lawyers here in the states too. I believe one of them could help you out. Otherwise, you are going to have to do something for yourself. Pick out the state you want to use instead of CA and contact them to find out what you need to do. Until you contact another state one way or the other, you are never going to get through this.

Look in the yellow pages of the phone book under immigration attorneys, or do an internet search for same in your city. Another possible source might be The American Association of Nurse Attorneys , and sometimes you can find ads in the local newspaper.

Thanks for your advise. But my head is pounding. Why this happened with me only. now instead of concentrating on my exam , I have to do a lot of work applying and don't know if application will be accepted. I was reading this website a lot and encouraging and getting encouragement from nurses here but at this point I am like y y it happened and I have spend too much time for all this and on the top stress, tension too. anyways thanks

H4 will not allow you to work. Going to a new state you will have to start over from scratch and meet their requirements for International trained. You also need to be aware that coming from India (I presume you was born there) you will be affected by retrogression so unless you meet H1b requirements and find a employer willing to employ you on a H1b you will not be able to change your status and work
