A have a friend who is need of advice, here's her problem... She's waiting for her PD (May 2007) to be current, and yes she's aware of the retrogression, that most of us is experiencing right now. Her bf wants to marry her late this year, now she's confused about her situation. What will happen with the pending petition? Is it possible for her husband-to-be to file another petition for her, as a spouse of a US citizen? What will be the implications? Please give some advices so I can share it with my friend. By the way, they have been together for many years, even before she went to nursing school, I believed it must be love. Thanks. :wink2:

  4. Employment and family petitions are separate, hence, it wouldn't be a problem. She can be petitioned for a fiancee visa and they could get married in the US within 90 days. They can also get married here in the RP and he can then petition her as a spouse of a US citizen. The first option is a bit faster.

  5. I turned in a K1 Visa in March, and Visa in now approved.

    It took only 60 days.
