VSC cgfns

I have passed the NCLEX RN I am a UK trained nurse & wishing to start next stage of working in america
I have been told by lawyers to fill out cgfns form for vcs however two agencies have informed me that for a greencard I don't need cgfns document-I understand with the NCLEX I don't need the cgfns exam but what do I do next?
Are there different methods if going for direct sponsorship than with an agency.
I am getting confused x

You still need to do VSC which is part of CGFNS (ICHP) and is a requirement of immigration regardless on route. They may be thinking of CES or CGFNS exam which not required. http://www.cgfns.org/sections/programs/vs/

They are giving you wrong information in some way.

You do not need to get a CGFNS Certificate, which is given when you pass the CGFNS exam, as you have met the requirement of passing one of the two exams with the NCLEX-RN exam, but you are required to obtain a Visa Screen Certificate, which is actually handled by a sister company of CGFNS called ICHP.

Agencies have a problem with giving wrong information when they are not sure of things instead of checking with the source directly. And this just proves it again, and reason why you should stay away from these agencies. If they are already giving misinformation about something so basic, then what will it be like later when you really do have a question for them.

Perhaps you need to have them read the Primer that is posted here.

Do not know what they are talking about, once you have completed and passed the NCLEX exam, and you have the English exams waived, then it is perfect time to go ahead and get the VSC.

Do not listen to agencies that give you wrong information. The VSC is not required for you to start looking for an employer or starting the petitioning process, but it is always easier just to get everything done that will need to get done.

I would get it done now.
