i would like to say that i think the process for the visascreen does not seem just and equitable.i do not understand how the CGFNS can and must evaluate all foreign-educated healthcare professionals who would like to immigrate to the US by looking at their credentials and making sure that these people meet the Standards of the government, while they choose to exempt those who are foreign-educated but have "relationships" with US citizens.
i mean, does it make sense??they have to make sure first if you're good enough to care for american patients, while those who are fortunate enough to acquire green card status are already deemed good enough based on the fact that they are married or will be married to a US citizen even though they had their nursing education in exactly the same schools??
does it not seem to be a little unfair?

i am licensed in the US because i passed the nclex exam.but i failed the june 2006 NLE. right now i am waiting for my visascreen certificate.
i applied last january, way before CGFNS made the decision about the june 2006 passers. in the VSC application form, you have to provide the registration/license in your country of education.i simply put NONE since i didn't pass the local board exam.when i filled out the form,i did it in a logical way with no intention to misrepresent.now they have given their decision for the june 2006 passers.what should i do,ms. suzanne?
(maybe i should just find an american to marry?
