Nope, and in this current climate highly unlikely anyway.
Please do some reading here.

Not heard anything. Do you have any links?

With current US recession and many US nurses loosing jobs I highly doubt they will be fast tracking foreign nurses

Wow! You really need to do some reading on these forums, so that you don't ask the same question that has been asked hundreds of times before.
With the current increase in unemployment, there is certainly no need to fast-track foreign nurses! Some US nurses have lost their jobs; some new grads are having difficulty finding jobs. Until the US economic situation improves, I doubt that any "special" visas will be offered for nurses.

There made be need in texas, but when I read the local Texas board, there seems to be many nurses looking for work.

http://allnurses.com/texas-nurses/

I am reading posts about hiring freezes and how hard it is for a new nurse to find a position.

I did a search on Monster and other employment sites and only agencies are looking no hospitals.

Could you please post where all these jobs are since many US nurses are looking and it would be a service for all to let all knowing where these jobs are.

As far as VISAs, they are almost impossible to get unless you are married to an American or have a very special skill.

PS Many hospitals have many unfilled and unfunded positions. Nurses are needed but there is no money to pay them.

Wrong Again

If you go read the Texas Board the last few months the general discussion is plenty of jobs for new grad and nurses.

Please do so research on the topic before posting, don't just look at one thread

Easy:

Find the Hospitals in the area and go to the Hospital Website and find all the jobs posted.

Most all of them will allow you to apply on-line for each position

In my opinion, it can't get much easier than that.

Closing this thread as things are getting a bit hot under the collar.

Just because jobs are advertised doesn't mean they will employ anyone. There are many threads in many forums discussing problems finding jobs including Texas
