US student doing postgraduate in Scotland?

Hello, everyone.
I'm a second year nursing student in the US and I'm hoping against hope that I will be able to move to Scotland after I graduate. I have heard of the troubles people have been having with the NMC when transferring a degree US->UK, and since I am intending to do some postgraduate work anyway, I was wondering if it would have any benefits for my long-term goals.
