Updating all of the stickies

by suzanne4 Platinum Member

I will be revamping this forum over the next week or so, and creating one super sticky with all of the information that you need to know and it should be the major resource of infomation here. It will save time on finding everything. And save from double and triple postings.

Are there any specific topics that youi would like to see added?

There will also be a sticky with questions that need to be answered by me.
It is quite hard for me to look at every thread every single day, and will make it much easier for me to access, and more frequently.

Thumbs up Re: Updating all of the stickies
Great idea Suzanne, the stickies had increased volume too much, its almos impossible to read them, and to remember all the different information in every post

Now my mind is clear, because I re-read lots of posts, and I realize I have forgotten vital information...so re-ordering the stickies is a priority

By the way IŽd like you to post the things that come after the visascreen, I mean the I-140, packet 2, packet 3, etc, I do not understand nothing about those, what are them for, which office gives you each, and an approximate (I know it depends on theState) waiting time for each

That's great suzanne. Can you please add a sticky for foreign-RNs on the verge of going through job interviews. I have read tips on other thread but for the most part, they are solely suited for u.s. graduates. I know that job interviews in the U.S. are way way different than how it is done in other countries. And I'm sure there are common mistakes that foreign RNs do on interviews. Perhaps, just a general idea (some do's and don'ts...) Well.. Just a thought, suzanne. It would be great to see them on here. Thanks! Good luck.

Thanks for the input. I am thinking of having only five stickies total or less. One would be "All the information that you need to know" and hopefully cut down on all of the posts that keep repeating themselves in other threads. All of the most common questions would be answered there.

One thread for International Students here in the US.
One for interviews in the US.

Visa Screen, packets, etc. would be covered under the first stickie.

And then one where people could post quesitons directly to me. I find it hard to look at every single thread on a daily basis, and then find that someone posted soemthing to me two weeks before.

And hopefully that will cut down on someone posting the same thing to me via e-mail, pm, as well as posting it. There is only so much time that I have available to do this, in addition to my real work schedule.

Thanks.

Everything is now combined into one sticky at the top, plus a separate one for specific questions to me.

Please let me know what you think, or if I have left something off. Should make it easier for everyone.
