Hello,
I also passed the NCLEX-RN from CABON and got the same problem. No license because of the SSN. I contacted one recruiter here in NY, he advised me to transfer the license to NY first. Since I do not have a license yet there is nothing that can be transfered or endorsed. but the guy told me that NYBON will issue my license on the basis of my passing results..so I just applied for that. I also sent them the copy of the letter I got from CABON. And, I already sent the endorsement aplication form to CABON . I dont know what happens,,but they advised that NYBON just needs the result not the actual license so there is hope.... And how about getting a job offer without the state license??? They told me that nothing can be done without the license....if its so,,how did u find an employer in Florida without having a license in that state???? I dont think u need the CES from CGFNS if u have already passed the NCLEX-RN.....BUT the best person to give you information will be Suzzane...just wait for her reply.

Yap. A lot of us are on the same predicament ( or will be) as yours. Best of luck to you. Let's wait for Suzanne's reply.

The issue that you have currently have is not having an actual license, so you actually cannot endorse to anywhere. There is no licnese number to endorse, but there is absolutely no reason to go the NY route first. As soon as you get immigration completed and get your SSN#, you will get issued a Florida license. If you can wait for the SSN#, then you will not need the CES report. At the moment, there is nothing that Florida will do, but this shouldn't be an issue at all. Just get the immigration process started as soon as possible.

Starbin:
This is the first that I have heard of NY issuing a license without it being endorsed. If it works great for you, but technically, since you do not have an actual number, you may be required to submit the CVS. Please let me know what NY BON tells you. Recruiters are always coming up with things that are not always kosher. Be careful.

Thank you very much Suzanne! I was just waiting for your reply. Yes, u r right I do not have a license to endorse and I dont know how it is going to happen. I just applied to NY for endorsement because the recruiter told me so and I did not have any alternative. That guy told me that my CGFNS certificate is of no use here and the first step would be to get a NY license.I am not much hopeful of getting the license, though.
I am not sure if a hospital will hire me on the basis of the letter from CABON. I am just confused.... It was ok when I had nothing in hand. Now I have CGFNS, NCLEX and IELTS all done and still no sign of getting job...
Thanks once again Suzanne !!! You are great.

Waiting to hear back from my friend, she already contacted her hospital. The other option that is open right away to you is in NJ.

I applied for CGFNS-CVS before, the process is completed. But I took the California NCLEX, I passed it this April. The problem is I cannot get the real license on hand. I know, I'm so stupid.... Now, I'm planning to get in states with F1 visa, but I don't think I can apply for SSN when I study in Language English Institution. Then how can I get my CA RN license? Or do you suggest me apply for ITIN? If I'm a student in states, am I qualify to apply ITIN? Can I transfer my license to NY without providing SSN, since I've passed CVS review process?

The ITIN is not accepted by CA BON, as they want proof that you can legally work in the US. That is reason for the requirement of the SSN#.

If you have actually gone thru the CVS process and have gotten a letter from NY, that your credentials were accepted, then you can transfer your scores to them. But only if it is the actual full CVS, not the CES.

Not sure why you went to CA for initial licensure if you already had the CVS from NY?

Thanks for your reply.

I applied both of CA and NY. I got the proof from CA BON eailer than CG-CVS, so that I choose to take the NCLEX, CA. Yeah, I know, it's a big mistake.

Anyway, thanks so much!
