are there international aide opportunities for critical care NPs?

Hi,

I have my RN, BSN and am planning on going back to school for my masters/NP. I'm extremely interested in critical care nursing as well as volunteering abroad or doing foreign aide assignments. I know that if I choose to get my family health NP license, I can potentially work with the state department for international assignments. I would be more interested in the critical care focus though. Does anybody know if there are opportunities for critical care nurse practitioners abroad? Has anybody worked such assignments?
