    Apriljan,
I hope this time he gives it a longer try. Keep us posted on how things progress with your son.

Have you any more children?, If so how have they settled?

It sounds really difficult to settle kids who aren't keen to begin with. I hope it all goes well for you.

I was also concerned about continuing education for post 18yr olds in the US, just wanted to know of any Brits experiences of this matter, ie paying for further education, availability of scholarships and grants to non citizens etc, any info gratefully received.

Thanks, I'm hoping things will work out for him this time, but at least it's his decision now to come back. I have a 20 year old daughter, she's back in the UK at uni but lives with her boyfriend. She has permanent residency though, as long as she keeps coming back and forth. She may decide not live in the US permanently in the future, but she has a choice. She is also coming over at christmas with her boyfriend for 2 weeks.

My Son went to school when he got here but decided he didnt want to continue with his education. So no college and dead end jobs-sad but he wont listen, so at 19yrs he needs to get on with his life and his decisions.
