You need to start with your state board of nursing (BON) and follow requirements for foreign nurse, you may need CES from CGFNS depending on BON, You will need to request your transcripts from Sweden to BON or CGFNS and would suggest you arrange FedEx/UPS or some other big carrier to pick them up as CGFNS take ages to open ordinary mail. Suggest having a look at the thread/sticky titled Primer to working in the US in this forum

Just wondering which visa you are in the US with as that will help us give you a bit more info on what to do next

In what capacity are you getting your greencard? If your state does not require CGFNS exam then you do not need to do it but you may have to go through CGFNS for CES. Which state are you apply to?

http://www.state.nj.us/lps/ca/medical/nursing.htm

here is the link for your state's nursing board (BON) because your husband is american you do not need visa screen certificate but you do need to meet other criteria for the BON including passing a language exam here is the link http://www.state.nj.us/lps/ca/nursing/fornurse_app.pdf

It may take you a few months to go through the process and you can sit your exam but this will give you time to adapt and also study for the exam. We have a good NCLEX forum which you can find under the student tab at the top of this page
