Student Visa w/ Pending Immigrant Application

Hello. My husband has a pending I-485. He is currently working in CA and i'm stuck here in the Phils. Since its taking too long for the visas to get current, is it a possible that i'd be granted a student visa here in the Phils. while my husband is working in the US w/ a pending application? We're really thinking of ways that I could follow in the US aside from the follow-to-join application? Thanks!

You could apply for a student visa but will have to show funds up front. Are you included in your husband's application?
