Stuck on a ? - Application for Licensure

Hi

Can anybody help? Trying to fill in my Application for Licensure with the NY BON and am stuck on a question.

What should I fill in for no. 20 Citizenship/Immigration Status, I don't fit into any of the boxes provided. I am not a citizen and have only just applied for my Visa Screen Certificate and I'm not temporarily in the US. I guess its not OK to leave it blank!!

Thanks

Kay the 2nd

speak to Suzanne and dont leave anything blank unless you are sure cause it seems to me that if you do things wrong on application forms they dont tell you they just leave it sitting around

Hi

Yes I was hoping that Suzanne might reply She usually does She must be hard at work or chilling somewhere

So how long do you usually wait before pestering them?

Do you know where you are going to in the US yet Kay? How old is your daughter? What is your husband hoping to do? Exciting stuff

Just put in the process of applying for green card, and include a copy of your passport and that should take care of it for you. It has for all of my students.

Many times they will not accpe tit with N/A. Many of the applaicants have had it returned to be resubmitted. N/A is not an acceptable answer as far as immigration questions are concerned for NY licensure.

You may have gotten lucky if that is what you had put on your yours. They want to make sure that you will be in the US legally, or at least they are attempting that.

I actually own the first licensed school of its type in Bangkok for preparing foreign nurses for working in the US. That is why I am quite familiar with all of these questions.

I just returned to the US the end of July, three of my other pets are still over there.

If you read some of my older threads you can find out all about it.

Hiya,

Yes it is excieting but also a very nerve racking time for me, wondering if I am doing the right thing, I have a really good careeer going here so I am nervous about starting at the bottom of the ladder again. I dont think us Brits consider USA as a foreign country but in reality everything is so different over there. I am fortunate that i have a large family in US so have spent a lot of time in US.
My daughter Abby is 3, she will be 4 in July. My hubby Dave is a police officer over here, dunno what he will do over there.
I am very flexible where we will live and have heard recently that there is a possibility of Phoenix, AZ, due to my experience in Neuro. Remember as I am with agency I wont have the control that you have going it alone. We are unsure of where we would like to settle so if we are lucky enough to like the first place we go to then great but if not then we have family in Ohio and florida and various contacts countrywide that i would not be afraid to contact. MY main objective is to get to US gain some experience in a US hospital to learn their culture and ways.
Where do you wantto settle???
How old are your children?

What pets did you leave over there?
