Have moved your thread to the International Forum, where it is more appropriate since you are a foreign trained nurse. Before you do a thing, please take the time to read the Primer at the top of this page that I have written.

Average wait time for most states before you will get permission to sit for the exam is going to be 4 to 6 months, there is no place that is going to be immediate in any part of the world for licensure. And when you do get licensed or pass the NCLEX exam, that still will not give you permission to work here, that requires going thru immigration for the visa. You also need to be aware of the fact that there are currently more than 500,000 unemployed RNs in your country; getting licensed in the US right now is not going to get you a job. Many more ahead of you already waiting.

It is impossible to apply directly for the NCLEX exam, there is actually no application for it. You will be applying for licensure as an RN to the specific state that you are interested in and will need to meet their requirements.

Not sure if your father is aware of the retrogression that has been ongoing for more than two years here already. You are looking at probably a 7 year wait for a chance at a green card to even work here, and that is only a chance and not a guarantee.

Please take the time to do some reading on this forum, this is a time when father most definitely does not know best.

And in seven years many states won't renew your license when it comes times to renew it if you don't work as a nurse.
