It is actually mainly senior citizens that you will be caring for. It is based in the Del Webb retirement community of Sun City.

The doctors and staff there were always fantastic to work with, but it has been probably at least 12 years since I have been there. It used to be considered way out, but now the city extends so much further..........
Actually just arrived back in the house from a two day trip to Phx to pack up the rest of my things..........still have to unload the car............
Think that you will like it better out there than Baptist.
    thanks Suzanne. much appreiciated

I saw an advert in NT last week for Uk nurses who have NCLEX, they have bonus's and sponsership.
I know I dont understand the process but will you or do you still need a sponser for your green card?
Will all this hold up your application or should it progress as hoped

    Hi Suzanne

the hospital is Boswell Memorial Hospital sun city. Have you worked there or know anything about it? I have been told they will honor 2 yr contract and hourly rate should be the same as what I was previously given with the other hospital.

look forward to hearing from you
    KOOL !!!

Anna, that is the hospital my mom goes to. She lives in Sun City WEST which is newer than Sun City, but by far prefers Boswell Hospital to their own Del Webb Hospital. I understand they have some excellent docs, but I don't know much about how they treat the nurses there, or anything.

It's a very pretty area, but as Suzanne mentioned, it seems like Phoenix is just spreading out more and more, and consuming all of the state nearly !

When Mom moved there 20 years ago, it was nothing but orange groves between Phoenix and Sun City.. now it's car dealership after car dealership and new housing developments as far as the eye can see. But as far as working there, I'd prefer that by far to having to deal with the inner city Phoenix traffic.. it's bad enough as it is even in the Sun Cities areas !

And watch those "oldtimers" as my 84 yr. old mom calls them.. (totally excluding herself, of course) .. these older folks can truly cause some serious driving conditions.. gotta watch their every move and don't trust them for a second ! May sound mean, but it's true.. been there too many times and had too many close calls.

Wish you the best ! And next time I go see Mom, I'll just have to stop in at Boswell and pay you a visit !

Feeling very despondant re whole thing at the moment, keep worrying about lack of hols in US especailly when i am really tired now and it has only been 10 weeks since last week off!!
Then I worry about sending money back to Uk and if we will earn enough, have to do this cause prior to all this starting got a loan which we wont be able to pay off prior to going.
Work is getting me down here, fed up to back teeth with all the bloody nonsence I have to listen to. Cant go into detail in case anybody reads this :uhoh21:

    Kay,

Sorry to hear you are feeling down at the moment, know how that feels I am contemplateing (bad spelling) bank/agency Feeling I need a break from my present job. Knew it was going to be difficult when the 2 new nurses started but didn't realise how much impact it would have on me. Transfer from US to UK money shouldn't be a problem, make sure you keep your account in the UK open and some money in and then wire the money across. Advised by a US bank that wire is the best way to do it. The only down side is the exchange rate. If ever you want to chat on the phone pm me and we can swap numbers
