Skilled Independent 175 to NSW, Australia

Hello,

Just wondering if there are many nurses out there who went on the 175 visa and if you nurse in NSW, did you arrange through another state for registration by proxy or mutual recognition (I think these are the terms) with NSW?

I will be going skilled independent and need some feedback on the best and least troublesome way of getting registered in NSW before I get there. I have recently received my letter of determination which must be close to a world record time in processing....last Thursday I received acknowledgment of my application (dated by ANMC, 24/09/08) stating that it would take up to 8-10 weeks.....next day I received my letter of determination (dated by ANMC 25/09/08). Nearly fell over with shock...


So now to the Visa application....but I want to get things going with registration in NSW. The determination letter states that I can have my details sent to the State registration bodies from the ANMC But is there any point in having them sent to the NMB when I can only register with them in person. Therefore, I'd be more than grateful to hear from anyone who used another state to get registered in NSW and what your experience was/is.
