Renewal information

hi! please help me. i'm a foreign graduate also and took my nclex-rn exam for new york last oct 2006 in hong kong. i already receive a letter with my picture on it and stating that i passed the nclex-rn exam for new york. my dilemma is that i didn't receive my license number.. i'm worried that i might not be able to renew my license for new york, because my friend told me that nclex is only good for two years.(is that true?)

Moving this question to the International forum

It is your license that has a expiration date on it and will need renewing. Have you contacted BON as they should send a renewal notification to you

Go to the website for NY, if you passed the NCLEX exam, then your name will be listed there as well as your license number.

Suspect that your license got lost in the mail, just contact them to send you another one. Or you can just wait until you renew it.

Your exam does not expire in two years, as long as you keep a license current, you do not have to take the exam again.
