registered with Pearsonvue.....help pls

  1. Hi, I registered with pearsonvue today, I expected to receive the automated receipt as well as the candidate number after 30 or 40 minutes through email because that's what I heard from all of my friends who registered with them and from here also, but I haven't received any yet. Anybody who encountered like this? I emailed them today and I might receive their reply tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. I did not expect this. I am a little bit scared and bothered. By the way, I got my approval to sit for the exam from Vermont BON.

Depends on how quickly that PV receives the same approval from Vermont, they are not always at the same time.

There is absolutely no reason to be scared or frightened.

Thank you so much Suzanne, I just thought that after registering with pearson they will automatically give automated receipt together with the candidate number. I also thought that after they will give me the candidate number, which I will write in the white card and mail it to Vermont containing my candidate number, that's the time pearson will have to wait for Vermont to make me eligibile to sit for the exam. Once again, thank you so much

Pearson-Vue does not have to wait for Vermont, they are notified as soon as Vermont or any other state approves you. Sometimes that are glitches in the system and the approval does not arrive to Pearson-Vue in a timely fashion. Many times PV will have the approval already before you receive the documentation from the state as they recieve it via e-mail and not snail mail.

i think like wat ive experienced b4, i registered at pv online, print the receipt after they flashed it onscreen, i called them for my shedule..then the thing that they asked is the att number..or just the number on top of ur att..they didnt asked for a receipt number or something..cus i think once ur payed via credit card online, theyl have ur record. its really the att which is important.

Just because you register with Pearson-Vue, you cannot schedule a test date until they also receive approval from the state to permit you to do so.

hi to anyone or ms suzanne or lawrence. i am about to register to pearson for nclex because i got a letter from cts (i applied to illinos). it says that "they have received and approved my application (with a case number or applicant's number, or whatever that series of numbers is called). and they are telling me to register to pearson. does that mean they have determined that i am already eligible to sit for nclex? if so, i haven't taken their required toefl exam, would that be possible?

in my case, i registered with pearson when i got the approval letter but i had my toefl already. I wonder why you were approved without toefl coz it's a requirement before you could take nclex...unless they've changed the rules.

hi precy! i know before i applied to illinois that they require the toefl series only. but then i still submitted my application to cts. i was surprised when i got there first letter to me that im lacking some documents (ces and the fingerprint receipt) but they didn't ask about my toefl exam report. i was even more suprised with their next letter to me that they recieved and approved my application. and that they told me to register to pearson for nclex. just now after reading your reply (that may be the rules have changed) i read the requirements for internationally educated nurses seeking licensure in illinois. their requirements: ces, toefl, nclex-rn. but then i just discovered in their second paragraph regarding toefl exam, it says: "toefl may be waived by the department/divison if your credentials evaluation report indicates you nursing education program was conducted in english utilizing english textbooks" updated 9/25/06 u can view it here: http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/apply/forms/cgfns_02.pdf i am holding my copy of ces report and under my nursing education, the language of instruction was "english with english textbooks." there it goes, i think this is the answer to my question and for others as well. knowing this made me realized its easy to apply for the stete of illinois(just my own opinion), you just need the ces report no need for toefl (if you are subject to exemption and that is still the department/division's own prerogative) and then after they approved your application you can take the nclex and when you pass they will issue you your license even without a ssn but then you need to have a ssn when you renew your license. i will be sharing this information for those who are applying in illinois. i think this is a useful information to them.

thanks precy for your reply! i was directed to read the requirements of illinos again with your reply and there i got the answer to my question. thanks a lot! god bless!
