Moved your post to its own thread on the International Forum since it deals specifically with being a foreign nurse wishing to work in the US, and many Americans are not familiar with the requirements.

There is also a thread on the CA forum stating that if your question deals with foreign nurses wishing to work there to please use the International Forum.

Now to your answer:

CA BRN does not administer the NCLEX exam, or have anything to do with it. They just use the results in determining if they will grant you a license. The application for CA expires in three years from the time that you pass that exam. The NCLEX result does not expire, it is separate from the BRN. If you go past the three years, you just need to apply again to the BRN.

This has been addressed many times on this forum, suggest that you read some of the threads on it, it will be quite helpful for you.
