Question on license and NCLEX

by shere1

Hope that someone can help med with a question about the NCLEX; i have applied for a NY and CA RN license. I do have a license from Europe. So the question is that; do I have to take the NCLEX test twice, one for every state??

You only sit the NCLEX (in most cases) the once and then endorse license from one state to another. You will however in most cases have to meet new state requirements for foreign trained which in NY case will be CVS as CA do their own assessment.
