question about NCLEX-RN

I plan to have the NCLEX-RN exam next month. And now I am doing the practice in the home every day. But still feel nervous for that.

I know its hard to answer my question especially when you get the exam on the computer. But according to your guys' experiences, before you take the real exam , what the correct answers percentage you'v made in your practise exam?

Thank you for your help.

It depends on the source you are using to practice with. I did better with some than others. I read you should shoot for between 70-80% to be ready for NCLEX. I averaged around 75% with most and passed NCLEX first time with 77 questions.

Thank you. You are so good! Congradulations!

I have the Kaplan pactise in hand now, is that the same as yours? I'v got this pactise from my friend 2 years ago, so I think it might be not suitable for the test now. would you please give me some imformation about these? Thanks a lot.

The one I used was called Kaplan NCLEX-RN Exam 2005-2006 with CD-ROM ISBN 0743265408. I don't have the book anymore as I passed it on to a friend. I had several people use it and all found it helpful. Although you can't totally "study" for NCLEX it helps to practice questions. I believe there is a newer version available now but at the time this was the lastest version available. I took my exam April 2006.
If you want you could get the latest version but there may be little difference to the one you are using now. The test plan was changed slightly this year April 2007 with the bar raised on the pass standard but the information could also be accessed at the NCSBN website how that has changed. You may also find Kaplan helpful as there is testing strategy information given as well as information for nurses not educated in the US.

Thank you so much, RNGrad2006.
your reply is helpful. I think maybe I need to buy the KAPLAN book since so many people here said that's wonderful.
I hope I will pass the exam just like you did.
Thanks a lot, god bless you!
