Psychiatric nursing classes nightmare!

Hello everybody!

My name is Irene and I am a RN from Romania, I am a permanent resident here in CA and I have applied for a California license 10 months ago.
Initially BoN in CA wanted clarification from my school in Romania regarding my diploma, and after 5 months they received it; 5 months because they only do mail and it takes forever for a letter to get here. Finally after 10 months they said that I can take the exam BUT… I need additional psychiatric nursing classes. I can not find a seat in all the list of colleges they’ve sent me. I can not find a seat for spring, much less for this fall. And the course lasts 4 (four) months to complete. Has anybody gone through this? Does anybody know how should I get in those classes at least in the spring? I could use any type of information.

Thank you!

It would be too late this semester to take a psych class, register for the Spring, and I would use the list the state sent you. If they are full ask them for a recommedation of a program. Good Luck, you have the permanent residency that is half the battle.
