Processing Phil. nurses to go to U.S.A.

Updated Jan 30, 2009 at 10:27 AM by focusnclex

anyone heard of the name ----- ? my friend from the Philippines paid total of $6,500 in 6 months to process her papers to go to Colorado U.S.A., and Kizzy said USCIS denied her papers, and they are waiting for the Atty to apeal/reprocess again and it might take 2 years for her to go. They dont tell her why she was denied. anyone heard of this name? if this is real or a scam? thanks pls help. If this is real, then i am happy for her, if this is not real then how can she claim back the money she paid or how to have her justice? thanks

Thread edited to remove your friend's full name as well as the name of the attorney.

Why not just go through an attorney in the 1st place? That would make more sense...If ------ is in a country other than the Philippines, then it's going to be hard to press charges against them if they are a scam...The story sounds pretty fishy to me...Sounds like she got taken for her money....

Just because she paid money for her processing, there is never any guarantee that one is going to automatically get a visa for the US. Was she denied based on something about her, or because the attorney did not include something?

One pays the money to have the paperwork completed and the documents submitted; including the fees to immigration. There is never any guarantee that one is going to get to the US.

And chances are that she is going to be looking at much longer than two years for a chance at a visa, the retrogression has been in place for more than two years already.

If she is concerned, then she can contact the office of the Attorney General for the state of Colorado and have them look into things.

Hi! I have already paid the 6,500 USD. So...chances are...I have to wait for whatever will happen with my visa. It bugs me every night.

Please tell me it isn't a scam.

You have just proved it as well. The H1-B visa requires that 100% of the costs be paid for by the employer and not one cent of it is to come from the employee; whether paid before, or taken from the pay of the employer later on.

This is grounds for an automatic denial on the part of immigration.

Guess that they forgot to tell you this as well.

I have no way to contact you. I am new here and still have to determine how things go here for the private messages.
