by chubbyhappy Jan 10, '12Hello RNs and Filipinos here in Ca! I failed NCLEX for the 4th time and my last scores were all NEAR passing. So I reapplied hoping that in a short time I will be a USRN. Today I got a letter from BRN stating I need to enroll in a US college to remove my deficiency in med surg and OB which my philippine shool is not competent at according to their evaluation. I got 3 years to take ana remove my deficiency before I could retake the NCLEX again. Oh my God! How can I enrol again if I dont have resources? What should I do? Do you have any options? please help me! Thanks so much!

- Jan 11, '12 by cheji13so hwat do they mean when they said school is not competent? it that the area that you have a low score on? im also filipino i graduated from mcu caloocan.
- Jan 11, '12 by chubbyhappyI cannot tell cheji. my performance evaluation stated "NEAR PASSING AVERAGE' all of it. So I am wondering if the BRN anlyst was just whimsical on his evaluation. Is it because I am Philippine educated? hmmm just wondering.
- Jan 11, '12 by JustBeachyNurseHave you checked the International Forum? There are several threads right now as this is not a new issue, CABoN has been enforcing their education requirements for a few months now. there are many Philippine educated nurses who have resubmitted applications to the CABoN only to receive a rejection letter & request for more documentation like you did.

i have the same problem MS and OB i have several friends who have the same problem to what can we do ??? comply what the BON is asking for. or take the LVN exam what a heart breaking news just received my letter from the BON today. - Feb 25, '12 by artimjoI had been reading a lot of forums and comments from Filipino nurses about these problems since last year. I am also a nurse from the Philippines and i was lucky to get everything done before these issues arise. Can you guys apply in different state? Just wondering if anyone tried and went through without a problem....
