Hi and welcome to the site

Firstly is there any preferences in lifestyle you are looking for. ie weather, family activities, affordability of houses. A lot of states have few Filipinos. Have a good read on this forum you should get some ideas on who lives where. There is also a thread in the Phillipines forum for Filipinos already working in the US check that out. With retrogression you have time to look through things, you need to decide on what you are looking for and then do some research, we can all recommend a state but it all depends on what you and your family want

Hope this gives you some thought about what you want out of moving to the US.

You need to do some research, none of us make the decision for you. There are always drawbacks and good things for each and every state. Not one of them is perfect for all. You need to take the time to decide which is the best for you and your family.

With the retrogression in place, you will have quite a bit of time to do your research. It is going to be a couple of years before you have a chance of getting to the US, it is not going to be an automatic thing any more.

Best of luck to you.

ok..thanks!

i really doing my research..i actually learned a lot from this site!

there are not many requirements in NY have a different agreement and service with CGFNS for licensure and it is a requirement that you pass 2 online courses. The problem is not many hospitals are petitioning foreign nurses for green cards it is mainly nursing homes and to be honest not a good idea to start your time in the US as patient retio is high and in house support low. Much better initially to get hospital experience and support

i also read the comment of Ms. Sussane in another thread and she doesnt recommend it..

Florida?

What are the requirements there?

do i have to pass both CGFNS and NCLEX plus the IELTS to be able to work there?

Much Appreciated..

Always best to check requirements yourself with the BON as things can change. But you need CES for them and last time I checked you have to apply to Florida once CES has been completed and it has been sent to them. All RN's have to pass NCLEX if they want to work as RN in the US, no exceptions. English exam is a requirement of VSC which all foreign nurses have to have unless they get their green card from another source for example marriage. I also believe they are like CA and will not issue hard license unless you have SSN. Again have a search in this forum as you will probably find someone at sometime will have asked something about each state
