    hi!
that's really a good news for us nurses here in the philippines. i already have my att, while selecting hongkong as my test center in pearsonvue, there is a note that i need to contact and schedule my appointment for an exam over the phone since only test centers inside us can be scheduled through pearsonvue. it is said in the nclex candidate bulletin that there is an additional fee of $150 for international scheduling. do you have any idea how will i pay this fee? what will i do if i will pay it using not my own credit card? thanks a lot!
    hi again ybeth,
good for you that you have att already. just like to ask some info if you won't mind?
when are you going to take your exam?
is your accomodation in grand millenium plaza hotel? (as i know, that's the testing center for nclex)
and what's your local travel agency here ? i'm having difficulty choosing an nclex package tour..
how much is your total $ cost for the package?

if you're uncomfortable showing your response here, you can send me a pm. your reply is much appreciated.

    thank you so much.

Ok. i think i'll try to ask my aunt to do it for me.....thanks!

Give it a try and see what happens. Or have your aunt do it for you from the US. That is another possibility...........

    hi there presc!
    sure!
    1. i'm planning to take the exam this coming june, hopefully
    2. i think there's only one testing center in hongkong and that's grand millenium plaza
    3. about the local travel agency, i'm still scouting for nclex package tour

i think the cost of the package tour depends as to what month. if it falls during peak season, the cost will be higher than the regular rate.

    your welcome!

You have to pay the fee to Pearson-Vue of $200 to even receive your ATT. They are now actually sent out by Pearson-Vue once they receive notification that you are able to sit for the exam..............

suzanne, and to other nurses who'll take/took nclex in HK,
can you recommend a place where to stay in HK? we're looking for an apartelle. (or even a hotel with affordable price but decent and good accomodation) because it's way beyond cheaper than staying in a hotel. but when we searched in yahoo, the minimum stay in apartelle is 1 month.also will costs as big bucks. are there any place we can stay somewhere in kowloon or in central? (btw, we have lots of travel agencies here offering packages but the prob. is very high in price.
    thanks a lot.

check out www.asiahotels.com. fabulous site and the prices are quite good. not sure what the prices are running in hk right now but i have used this company for hotels all over se asia and they have been about 60% of what the rack rate was for most. hope that this helps.........

***just checked their site, they have rooms listed for about $56 per night us............and that was just a brief look.....

where is the exam? on the island or kowloon? there is a hotel behind the peninsula, i think that is owned by them, but the rates were reasonable, though the rooms quite small, like japan. but the location is great.....

while you are there, make sure to check out the dim sum over at stanley street market. a must do.............you want to go to the one where all of the workers east at........wonderful food and very cheap.

when are you taking the exam? please let me know which hotel that you find.
