i just passed the june 2008 board exam for nurses in the philippines and im kind of planning to work abroad but have no idea where to start. i found an agency here (the australian nurse student migration consultancy, owned by paul o'connor, an australian. he has a filipino wife that is a nurse there.) they have this package, wherein the following are included:
-assessment of documents and submission to the nursing council
-nursing council fee
-test A and B fees
-competency materials
-3 months health insurance
-processing and application for employer sponsorship and VISA (permanent residency is a separate cost)
-arranging tax file number
-arranging relocation to another employer when necessary -one way airfare
-VISA processing and VISA fee
-pick up from airport upon arrival
-4 weeks share accommodation including food
-advice on bank accounts
-orientation with new employer and we can contact them in case of an emergency
but im afraid they are asking AUS $9300 for this package. do you think this is worth it? is it better to do the processing on my own rather than making them do it? if ever i get to pass the test for registration, do i get to work already? what i don't understand is how does the employer sponsorship work? i also read that i have to study for two more years to be a nurse, is this true? what do i do first? i really need help

thank you for taking time.
