    hi to all here in the forum.. i am from the philippines with a direct hire employer there in US and i would like to ask:

    how long before i can get my parents there in US if i'm already married?? and how long also if i am single??

    hope someone could answer me.. thanks in advance..

    makes no difference if married or single, as a PR it will take years to petition your parents even longer if siblings. Much quicker to do it once you have citizenship once you have had your green card 3 or 5 years depending on how you received your card

    hello silverdragon. what do you mean how you receive your GC? it is not fix to 5 yrs? thanks

    If you are petitioned by an employer, it is five years to wait before going thru with citizenship. If petitioned by a spouse, then it is three years.

    You must have US citizenship to petition for parents and siblings.
